Meat Boy
Rated 3 / 5 stars July 7, 2011
Super Meat Boy is better.
Less annoying music, tight controls, a jump that actually depends on how hard you press the key, a screen size larger than a chocolate bar, better level design that's less impossible, and hell I think all of these are imported there anyway.
Story of the Blanks

Well, that was pretty creepy.
I liked it, but the music is apparently missing...the title screen music worked fine, but there was no music after that. Was there supposed to be? Because I started the game again, and not even the title theme plays.
Yepp, unless something went really buggy the second tune should start as you enter the forest. Unless you accidentally pressed M.
Defend Your Computer
Rated 3.5 / 5 stars January 21, 2011
I used to like this game.
I really did, and for its time it was a great defense game, but the laser is shit.
Seriously, couldn't you have picked a more vibrant color for the cursor? I can't ever see where it is unless I focus, and the laser doesn't help because instead of looking like it hits the target, you made it shoot across the screen. Which means it shoots AT another target where I'm not aiming, and doesn't hit. That's annoying, because it LOOKS like it SHOULD hit.
Other than that, this defense game is ridiculously hard.

Wow this is great.
Fantastic remix.
Why didn't you use the extended version found in FFVI though?
FF6 - Opening Part 2
Rated 3 / 5 stars August 5, 2010
Too bland.
It sounds like the background riff and main theme use the same instruments. By the way, the drums and main theme are NOT supposed to come in at the same time. I kept expecting the drums to come in sooner, and they never did, and then the main theme starts. It's awkward, like someone fell asleep and woke up just in time.

Great.
I guess the only thing I don't like is the excessive use of slo-mo. Half the time, it's unnecessary. It would have much better pacing if you removed the slo-mo.

Welp.
If this was a cry out against SMBZ specifically, I'd probably give this a 5 for lulz. But since you attacked sprite movies, you get 2 points lower for a 3. But because all these 11-year-old dumbasses keep defending that shitty series, you get redeemed with 4 points.

What can I say about this series?
You've taken Mario, something never meant to be taken seriously at all, in its 8-bit form no less, and given it a dramatic twist that is nothing short of fascinating.
I can see where the inspiration for Power Star and Rise of the MK came from, but the difference is those series focus on the violence whereas this is more focused on drama and dark storytelling. To do that with 8-bit colorful graphics and have me respect it, that's impressive.
